i am in savannah and its a quick stop you will need to make. stop at jekyll or st simons first and then savannah then you should make it to charleston from here. what is your range? if you are stopping here and want a good fuel price or room, call me...Russ Floyd 912-313-8686 cell

Crusing between 50-55mph, range is approx 250 miles. I'm planning on 5-6hrs running a day, don't want to push the boat and my body!

Russ- thanks for the help!

I remember waaaay back when, someone posted a similar story on the Formula board about taking a 419 (I think) from Florida up the coast. The thing that stuck in my mind was the guy's response when he was asked about the trip:

"Never again!"

That's an awful long trip in what is essentially a small boat. Good luck, and please keep us up to date on the adventure - I'll bet you'll have some great stories (and some HUGE gas bills!!!)

It's probably the best way to see the East Coast, done it before, be careful of the debris floating in the "The Ditch" (Intercoastal Waterway), and some of the fuel docks along the way open late and close early. ENJOY THE MOMENT!

I've done Florida to NJ, Last trip in a 42' Sonic. Charelston is worth a day or two. Myrtle Beach also and Wrightsville Beach is pretty cool for the night. You may want to stay in Beaufort before you go up into the Pamico sound its a pretty long boring run until you get to Coin Jock.

Best advice ; Take your time and enjoy!! Good Luck

If you stay in Beaufort N.C., call me and I will take you to dinner. Have a safe trip.

Year's ago when Everglades marine was a Cigarette & Apache dealer, we were picking up a 41 Apache and our buddy Charlie Marks was picking up his brand new 35 Cafe with 540's and #3s. The boat was named for his one son (Sean's Dream) hence Charlie's raceboat (Eric's Reality). Charlie ran that BRAND NEW boat from Everglades to Baltimore. When we saw Charlie a month later at the Key West poker run, he reported no problems.

So your 42 Tiger will be even a sweeter ride.
