The Bullet has a 8'6" beam.

Since you are new to offshore and may not have a truck yet : The Bullet weights 8,600, so with another 1,000-1,200 pounds on a trailer you will have to have a minimum of a 2500 series truck with a V-10 or diesel to tow it safely/properly. The new V8 1500 series Dodges and Ford's can pull around 9,900 pounds when properly equipped, but thats too borderline.

It depends on what you want to do,if you want a boat for just couple hours with the wife and kids goe with the 28ss but if you want to spend alot of time on the water go with the bullet but then you gotta spend a lot
more which i think its worth it .

Default 85 flatdeck

I went and checked out the 1985 cig. Yes it is a flatdeck and not a cafe. Blown 454 that have been overbored, aluminum heads, msd ignition, B&M blowers with an estimated 650HP. Motors have low hours, about 1.5 summers here in Michigan. Speedmaster#3 drives top speed is 80MPH. The speedmasters really help top speed verses the TRS's. The interior has newer vinyl about 3-4 years old. Comes with trailer. there are some updates and touch ups that could be done if I wanted to get picky but are not necessary if I just want to unload it and run it as is.

My question is are these older cigs a desirable boat??? what should I expect to pay for a decent boat with great power that is this old?? The owner says he will take $45K. Geez I started out looking at 28's then bullets, now I realy like this older flatdeck. Do these old boats hold there value well??? The boat looks just like the one Too Old had a few years back. Red, white and black checkers with a big red and black stripe on both sides.

In general, it does take longer to (re)sell the older stuff.

CLC900,
I have had the same questions about used Cig's.
Currently have a 20' Cig. that's an '82. Still solid as a rock and has been a good hull.
Think I've seen the add for the boat you're speaking of.
Seemed like a clean install (form the photo's )
and the fact that it had the SSM #3's seemed like a bonus (3's or 3a's?).
But the near 50K price for a near 20 year old boat had me wondering too.

Dang....why couldn't I have been born rich instead of increadibly good looking
