That boat is the inspiration. The long deck, small cockpit and low windscreen and hatch of the Gladiator really lent itself well to doing a "retro" look.
I have always liked that layout. I think it looks as god today as it did 3 decades back. I just tweaked it a bit with the red bottom.
My first two boats were all blue, top to bottom. this time it was fine tuned to give a true Cigarette feel.

Yes the blue boats are hard to keep. I built myself a shop and pull the boat in on Sunday night and get her nice for the next week end.

I like your honesty ! Toot away ! Thats what we all like to do here anyway
Great choice of colors ( its good that you are OK with and used to the upkeep ), love the retro feel / vibe to it. It will definately turn heads / provoke conversations / have female tops vanish
