My brother has a 1985 35ft flat deck. We turned to drives in last year. The boat handled great and could get out of the water. With the drives turning out, it loved to stay in the water. Have you tryed turning the drives in?

Im pretty sure that if the drives turn in it will lift the boat out of the water. If they turn out in won't. Try it the other way. If it doesn't do what you want. try talking to the guys at hydromotive about a prop that will make the boat do what you want.

drives in: more performance and bow lift

drives out: better handling around the dock

I've run the both ways on our Top Gun.

Spinning in the boat seemed to have more bow lift although I did not see much of a diference in top speed. Handling around the docks sucked.

I like it better spinning out. Much easier to control when in close quarters, docking etc.

Biggus, what drives are you running. I have #3's spinning out and have wondered the same thing about spinning them in?

Shouldn't it be props instead of drives turning?

With TRS's and Speedmasters you have to switch the drives to change the rotation of the props. So which came first, the chicken or the egg?

Had a 89 Cafe, T.R.S. switched drives to spin in, lifted the stern,no control in reverse, boat went slower.
Was a bad idea for that 35.
