Default TG vs CR

I am still looking.............Is there anyone here who has owned both a Top Gun and a Cafe Racer? Pros and cons comparison? Want to make sure I purchase the right boat. Probably looking for late 80s early 90s model. Not looking to all out race, but probably Poker Runs and to the islands.

Thanks

The Top Gun will hold its value better than a Cafe

You should buy Lucky Strike's boat. It's in great shape and priced right!

TG vs CR
My opinion is the difference will be $20k for similar boats, upon resale a TG will get more looks and it will be easier to trade for your next rig, you'll get the 20k back.
Everyone wants a Cigarette...after that everyone wants a Cigarette Top Gun at least!

Cig1 Cafe>>TG
Another CA boy Cafe>>TG
Parnell Cafe>Gun>Tiger>Playboy>Skater>Saber.....

and so on with alot of people.

The Donz,

I have both right now. My 91 Cafe Racer and picking up an 04 Top Gun TS. Here's my opinion: I haved loved Cigarettes for many years. The Cafe Racer in my opinion is the best combination of race boat/pleasure boat. It is very comfortable and the ride is smooth and not crazy. The Top Gun is a balls to the wall hold on for life, rocket ride. Both boats are very desirable. There are more TG's out there than Cafe's. Most Top Guns out there are driven exceptionally hard and need to be kept up more than the Cafe's. Cafe owners seem to be more easy on the stick unless the boat is equipped with big power. If your looking for a versatile boat, find yourself a clean Cafe w/ bravo's and 502's. If you want an all out race boat, get the TG. I've had my Cafe for 5 years. Now, I'm looking for that triple digit runner so I bought the TG TS. Remember either boat is still the best you can buy! GOOD LUCK
