Baja Fresh,
Did she have a name when you bought her?
I boat a 1982 35 Mistress that was a race boat in Catalina Ca and her name was Cigarette Lady. Never named her or renamed for fear of bad luck. Ha Ha.
But, she never breaks down so..... so far so good.
I too lettered my boat as the SWIPES Boat for my business and she still starts and runs great every weekend.

Hi Dan!
No, she didn't have a name when I bought her so I don't have to worry about the name change bad luck thing. If it was named I'd probably just leave it unless it had something really wierd.
I like to go with "She Bad" which was what a friend of mine from back in Maine had for a license plate on his bad azz '34 Ford coupe. He passed away from cancer a couple years ago. I don't think my boat is quite "bad" enough for that name though. Maybe it is to non-performance boat guys but she is mild compared to most of the boats I run with.
