As a comparison, a non stepped 35 Fountain Lightning weighs in at 8,600 pounds ( approximately ) and a 35 Cigarette Cafe' is 9,400 pounds. 2) yes due to more wetted / running surface in the water. The upside to that is that they ride VERY well, and you tend to stay nice and dry :) |

It may have something to do with the way the weight is distributed on the formula too. I remember thinking the the bow was to short. 2) With the "more wetted surface" will the "Cafe" still give a nimble and aggressive ride? 2) Aggressive ? I would say no. Nimble as far as carving turns ? Yes. Its actually a very forgiving hull. If you misjudge water, a deep V hull like a Cafe' will forgive you and plow right through with little fanfare. |
