Lip-Ship...rookie question

Sorry folks but I gotta ask what might be the dumbest Cig question yet...

When a Cig owner states "Lip-Ship Edition" are they refering to a boat that came through the North Miami Performance shop or is this a Cig factory thing?

I'm a beak boater and knowledge is pretty limited on the Cig side of the fence :)

Thanks

They also have a gray background on the logos all over.

Philly likes to use the silver backround on the Cig logo, however,I have seen beige used several times as well.Thank God he does not mess with the logo like some of these new painters do.

I think it's more like .... spec'd by Phil and built at the factory.

So, are the boats built and rigged at the factory, or rigged at Lip-Ship. Obviously Phil doesn't have a set of 38 TS molds laying around, so the glass work is done at the factory. Are the accessories (tabs, steering, etc) and engine installation done at Lip-Ship or Cigarette?

(Thanks for asking the question - I've always wanted to know but never asked! :o )

WThanks

Phil at Lip Ship does all the lay out & design work & along with over seeing all the work that the factory does to the boat. A lip ship boat come from the factory all complete less paint. This is done by lip ships painter. then lip ship goes over the complete boat and has some trick things done to it when Phil from lip ship give you your boat it is dialed in to run like a real cigarette should. Here is an under the hatch look when it is done by lip- ship
