That's what I wanted to know. What on the boat would make a Beep so I can cover all bases next time it should happen...

If you've got a depth gauge that has an alarm set it can beep and sound like the Mercury warning horn.
On the outboards the Mercury horn sounds when you hit the rev limiter, doesn't it do that on some of the I/O's?

I/O means Inboard/Outboard. Thats what kind of engine /drive configuration that you have.
