??? May just be the blowers whining? Also am running Eickert Aluminum equal length manifolds and open dry pipes. At only 4" dia pipe, might be giving it a different sound than what you're used to?
Limiters set at around 6,400? I have not spun it up past 5,100RPM, which gave me about 92-93. Max power was around 5,800RPM, so if it could spin up around there it would be great. I am sure it will do 100mph all setup properly with the correct prop.
The large 18" dia props on a old Gun won't let it rev up. Need to experiment with props, setup, etc. I've tried 3 drive height settings, multiple props but have not really changed anything else.
Just really trying to enjoy the boat and stay on the water at the moment!!! Everything is sound mechanically, which took me a few seasons to get there.
