Cigarette Hull Decals
#24
Stan, first, you boat looks awsome. Next, do you mean work of harold in the thread "Cigs let see them" post 151? I think that is the right one and that looks absolutly fantastic! How did you get hooked up with Harold? Do you live in NY or FL or Both?

Evan, Yes, thats the thread, found Harold right here on OSO. I'm out here on Long Island and usually in Fl for a week during the winter for vacation.
As you can see the painted logo looks a bit better than the decal. The secret is to clear over paint to avoid fading over the years. Bet if you peeled back your decal you may find the cig factory painted it on as well. I found that same situation on the '88 Bullet.
In the 1st before pic you can see the faded "salmon/pink" color. I painted over that with a deep red and also painted the darker grey from the transom that wraps up on the "hockey stick" to the bow. Being everything was disassembled off the transom it made the job alot easier.

echo signs in miami will make the paint masks for you. all you have to do is tell them what boat you have and they can tell you which masks you need. i have bought many from them. phone number is at office, call information. if you cant find the number let me know and i will find it for you.
