Yep and there are 2 more. It was a two page ad that was for the Platinum Series Top Guns. I have it and will post it when I can get to it. |

Re: Cigarette the Legend Thread - The Original Documents
Somebody help me with this. When I watch the 6MB video (over and over -thanks GLH) -when the guy driving says "I got to get me one of those" -the throttles look like they are completely pulled back. Is this justs some TV magic?

Re: Cigarette the Legend Thread - The Original Documents
My guess is, and this is only a guess.
Is that for the speaking parts the guy had to pull back for a moment on the throttles to be heard. My boat did not have the windscreen option. (Wasn't available yet) and with the flaps down it would have been nigh impossible to hear anything at a 40 mph. Phil told me at the time that he would get the boat up and running and then switch places with the actor. Phil then crouched below in the Cabin out of Camera sight. He also mentioned that they were only cruising at around 40-50 mph most of the time. and that it took 6 cameras to catch all the action including one on a boom hanging over the bridge. It is a cool commercial and the Pres. of LS owners club told me that it is second in all time response next to a previous one where the theme was doing doughnuts I think in a parking lot. (Don't quote me on that) at any rate I am proud of the fact that a boat I designed was picked from all the others but other than that I'll be the first to say that I had nothing to do with it but lend them the boat and anyone else could have done that. Best, Rob.. |
