I drug some of my Cigarette collection out last weekend. Some is still at the Lake house, but here is an appetizer. :cool:

This 3 ring binder is the bible of Cigarette history. It has every article, brochure, race result, etc from many years. I didn't photograph it all, just some highlights.

Definately a nice part of history! Good to see that someone actually collected all of that over the years. Powerboating is not like auto racing. Alot of history is lost and not really cared about.

Thanks much for sharing and collecting. I would imagine that with all the ownership changes that have taken place over the years yours is one of the best literature collections intact.

p.s. I still say that the best ad campaign was the "Does this mean I get a ride in your Cigarette"
followed closely by the uncaptioned black and white of the woman looking back over the sunpad.

I 100% agree. I have all 3 of the "does this mean I get a ride in your Cigarette?" campaigns. They are all framed on the wall. I also have the Black and White one with the chick. That ad was shot at the Lauderdale boat show back in 1998.
