what is the fastest a cig has ever gone? what model, engs,drives? thx for any info. ratman

i'm pretty sure that the fastest cig was the rio roses that phil raced a couple of years ago. i bealive it was either a 42 or 46 i think it was a 46 . not sure what power but do know it had # 6's. also another cig that was super fast like 135 mph was a 38 t/s topgun that Tim G was selling at national that had like twin 1350 sterlings and number 6

Someone has exaggerated that boat to you. It ran in the teens and they weren't 1350's. The fastest Cigarette ever was/is the Rio Roses boat, now Maximus. It ran 133 when it was racing a time or two. The Boat runs in the high 120's currently and has been converted to pleasure. It is owned by a great friend of mine.

The boat at National Marine had 1200 Cobras.

I looked at it, 900 Sterlings with #6 dry sumps. He said it ran 112 with John Tomlinson driving. The best Greek had it going was 109.
