BTW, I wasn't lurking, I was posting. :D It is my understanding the Fountain clothing line is less expensive because its one size fits all...........Reggie's Size! :D |

There were lots of previous boats, these were the most recent:
1: 28' PowerQuest. Loved that boat. Lots of fun to toss around. 2: 34' PowerQuest. Got a deal I couldn't refuse on it. Used it f/ 3 years and traded it for what I paid for it. 3: 38' Top Gun TS, the boat I've waited all my life for. It was worth the wait. Too bad the pics didn't load in the right order. |

I started out with a 15' bowrider (Mitchell????) no pic
Went to a 18' Sutphen What a blast!!! I had that boat for 14 years!! :drink: :drink: and went through 6 or 7 engines (Mopars  ) Moved to a 223 Formula. A great boat...but a little too small for what we wanted. Now in a Cigarette Bullet  Next up is a TopGun or a Tiger :D :D |

Started out with a Donzi 18 Classic and made the switch to a Cigarette Bullet. I always wanted to start out with a Cig. but had to start somewhere. I plan to enjoy the Bullet for a while because I like the size to power ratio. Don't know what size I will move to, maybe a 42' or 46'??

I started driving boats when I was around 8 years old. I was running them by myself at 10. I got my very own at age 13, a Formula 206 Spider. Dad had a 311 Formula at the time that I eventually started driving exclusively. He began driving the cruiser scene, and I ended up with the 311 in High School. Made the switch after High School from the 311 Formula to a 28ss Cigarette. Dad got the powerboat urge again and bought a 38 Top Gun for himself. We had both Cigarettes for a few years and decided to sell the 28 and 38. Dad wanted a cruiser for him and friends, I wanted performance. Today he runs a 370ss Formula and I run a 38 Top Gun T/S. I hope you realize how charmed of a childhood you had....I can't express how jealous I am!!! |
Re: Who else has made the switch??
My To Gun went to a very nice local So.Cal family. Being well used and cared for.
I am certain the switch back is around the corner for me- maybe when the 39 TG is an affordable used option. |
