Who else has made the switch??
 

I used to be a Fountain and OL guy! I saw how much fun you Cig. guys were having and I had to convert. I know that I am not alone. Show pics of what you used to own BC (before Cigarette).

Actually, the Fountain was a good and reliable boat, just not a Cig.

Fountain was the bigggest mistake I ever made. Built with left over Home depot products. Plywood stringers with no protection against rot, more air than resin (supposed to be vacuum bagged) Not one piece of wood infrastructure has radiused edges or was fitted prior to being slapped into the hull. I could go on and on. The list is endless. Spent a fortune fixing it.

Maybe you have to buy a $600,000 42 to get a quality boat.

mat, its ok we know your really an ol guy at heart. its cool, i got some ol buddies but i dont tell anyone....lol your the man, some nice rigs there bud. soon you will be big pimping with the rough rider and that 450 pulling. i think you are forgiven by the cig family. your stable is now full and your pimp hand, strong.. real strong... you might be my new mentor. i might have to fire glh.. your young and have your life ahead of you, glh is an older guy and is now kind of useless, at least for the rest of the season. so, dont let me down buddy and show me the way.......Mr. W

38 scarab KV ---was a great boat and i still miss it

43 Black thunder ---was a great floating condo and great in the big water

38 Cigarette-- is a great boat and for sale in the clasifieds

Why would you say that OL was a mistake? That is a gorgous boat. Was it the motors that was the problem? I assume it wasn't the build.

Sport 220 with a 454 Mag on an Alpha... never blew it up either! Sold for the same price i paid for it!

I started driving boats when I was around 8 years old. I was running them by myself at 10. I got my very own at age 13, a Formula 206 Spider. Dad had a 311 Formula at the time that I eventually started driving exclusively. He began driving the cruiser scene, and I ended up with the 311 in High School.

Made the switch after High School from the 311 Formula to a 28ss Cigarette. Dad got the powerboat urge again and bought a 38 Top Gun for himself. We had both Cigarettes for a few years and decided to sell the 28 and 38. Dad wanted a cruiser for him and friends, I wanted performance.

Today he runs a 370ss Formula and I run a 38 Top Gun T/S. :cool:

My first boat was a 87 240 sport w/ 454 alpha combo, first last and only! Paid $13000 sold 2yrs later $16500.

Sold a Fountain 35, a year ago, bought 22 Donzi classic to hold me over for the summer, sold it about three months ago and am finally ordering my first cig. I am going with the 38 instead of the 39, because I've wanted one for Three years now, long before the 39 was available. I feel like a kid in a candy store. I simply can't wait.

We went from fountain to cigarette. 1998 38 Fever to 2004 42X. I love the attention to detail and the quality of the cigarettes. They are way naughty.

On my 2nd Fountain now. Would like to sell the 32' and get a 35 Cafe, but my slip neighbor just boght a Cafe. It would be to gay to have 2 Cafes next to each other. ;)

Theres pics of his Gladiator around here somewhere. I had the port side view of it as a screen saver for a long time. One of the baddest paint jobs I've seen ever!! SICK!!

The Cig boat is not the problem. I can afford that. It is the clothes that go with that I can't.
