How many T/S Guns have been built with #3's? How do they handle compared to a bravo boat?

There is a 02 Twin step in the classified section today. It has the old #3 speedmasters. They are about 20 years old.

Sometimes you see some kookie stuff out there. Why the hell would someone not AT LEAST put 3a's on.. :rolleyes: Those motors aren't even up to date. Must have been a bare hull someone pieced together.

Is there a visble difference in a #3 VS a 3A? I always thought it was just the shafts and parts inside? The engines are suppose to be fresh 700 Cobras.

There is another one out there that I know of it was a National Marine boat. It had cobras in it ac/gen and I believe an American flag paint job...

Yep LS, I here that guy got taken badly by National. Was a nice boat though. The interior was done in leather.

The lower case on a IIIA is diffrent than a III. The flat spot above the bullet is different. The upper case is also differnt but I think it still looks the same on the outside.

The bullet is bigger and the shaft size is alot bigger, only a little smaller than the #6 shaft. That would be a sweet drive train in a TS TG. That boat should be pretty quick, looks like a nice ride.

Yep.
That guy had problems with that one. In the 01 Key West Run we ran with him. He barely could get it to plane. He complained about it alot. It wouldn't run any faster than the 575 boats.

Rumor is that he found out later (after a problem) that they were actually 3's and not 3a's so Merc wouldn't warranty them.

I.E. They were used drives without his knowledge. :eek: That was a big reason that boat didnt sell quickly.

That one there at National was the predessessor to the 46 "It's Good to BE King" boat from National ..... back before "the ****storm" .

It was the one with the American Flag Graphics and IN reg. numbers.

The Cobras have 20 hrs on them.

have you seen or have any info on the 94 top gun in the clasifieds that dollar is brokering. it has 650 hp's in it, 3a drives. any info would be great

Why all the secrets? I am interested in what you guys have to say. I'll soon be in the market for a Cafe. Right know I'm one of those "need to know" kind of guys. Been lookin at Danb's boat. Love that cig, just not ready to move on it. Never owned a cig before so I learn a lot from you guys. Thanks!

Just saw an updated ad for this boat on Boattrader.... it says top speed is 77.3 mph??? is that correct? 750s and #3s?
