Anyone mount an extreme marine platform on a Cafe?

I'm putting a extreme marine platform on my cafe. The problem is if I put it where I think it should go it covers the stern light. If I lower it so you can see the light it's very close to the exhaust. Just wondering if anyone has one on their Cigarette and where is it mounted on the transom. Thanks Scott

Re: Anyone mount an extreme marine platform on a Cafe?

I had one on the Top Gun I just sold, and it did cover the light a little but the distance between the light and the step still allowed the transom to be lit.

I don't know if it was a extreme marine platform or not but GLH here on the board had a platform on his old Cafe. Might want to shoot him a PM.

His former Cafe below

Let me dig

What I have found is the lower the better. High platforms are a pain to get on from the water if they are high...

OK found them on my 6 year old son's computer...

I guess you can reference off of this it was a good height for swiming.

As mentioned above the transom is illuminated and that's hard to miss and you still have the mast light above the cabin door for rear illumination.
I have never had a problem.

Mine is covered by both the swim platform and the ski pylon.

On the water

Transom

To make it legal at night, I just re-wired my mast light so that it is on 360 degrees all the time (anchor).

Old picture, but this is where mine is located. I had to move the tab indicator cables from their original locations becuase I screwed up in my measurements..

You guys have been alot of help. Thanks for all the help. I guess it doesn't matter that it's right in behind the stern light. Scott

Here is where it is on the Tiger but I don't know if the stern light is at the same height.

Phil told me that he places his platforms lower than most other Cig dealers do. This makes them much easier to use.

GLH do the exhaust pipes damage the powder coating at all being that close to the platform? Scott

No but it gets dirty a little if you idle around a lot and you have blower engines that run a little rich... :D:D:D
Easy to clean however, we have never had a problem and we hang around the swim platform all week end long.... in the summer.

I have the same situation on my Cafe. You can still see the light fine from a distance astern. You also have the mast light up front, so you still have 360deg visibility.

I met you last year. You docked at our docks for a few minutes talking to Frank in Mentor. We have the docks with three lifts and two Cigarettes Next to the zoo. Mkramer is my brother but don't tell anyone. He doesn't own that stinger that rastingers. He ownes a 265 baja force. Sounds like you did some nice stuff to the scarab. Are we going to see it in any of the poker runs this year?
