My First Cig
Just want to thank Phil for spending a few days with me. Pending a sea trial, this deal is done. And I think the sea trial will be unreal. Started boating in 28AT with twin 350s, then a 32AT with 500hps, and now a
1999 F2-17 carbon fiber race boat fresh 500 hps soon to be bumped up 78mph Brand new paint - you have to see it in the sun, pictures dont do it justice, it has metal flake in it. Phil took the carbon fiber theme to extreme, even the stitching looks like carbon fiber. The paint and interior are brand new Flying down the first week in april for sea trial, the bolster were not in when i was there last weekend. Wild |

Re: My First Cig
I just have to laugh sometimes at the level of work that Lip-Ship Performance acheives. That thing looks BETTER than when it was brand spankin new! It gets done right, or it doesn't get done at all. Awesome boat and awesome job by Lip-Ship.
P.S. Phil if you read this, when are you going to throw Mauricio and the boys at that staggered gun you have for sale? That has some killer potential. |
Re: My First Cig
Phil does so many little things right to make the boat perfect, allot of things that cigarette does with plastic pieces he put on metal, or beefed them up.
With this boat he kept the race and carbon fiber theme with the pleasure amenities that my wife needs. This is just what i wanted. Wild |
Re: My First Cig

Re: My First Cig
Great looking boat Randy. Congrats!
I had actually considered this rig myself, but need the sunpad and my heart is set on a Tiger..... I've been dealing with some banks recently and am curious who you ended up financed with? Rate? Best of luck.... Neil |
Re: My First Cig
Congrats Randy!!!! Very nice...You did good!! :drink:

Re: My First Cig
Ya Bajaneil, After loosing Victors Tiger, everything else seemed small and overpriced, but this cig has to be seen to be appriciated. I never would have bought this boat by looking at the pictures. I am so glad I went to phil.
All my cigs in the future will be Lip Ship Wild PS, Security Financial at LOTO 6% for 240mo since i am a two boat owner |

Re: My First Cig
No fender holders and prop covers with Merc written on them....
That would of been a deal breaker for me. Of course kidding... Conrats on graduating from a pro-shopper to a buyer!!!!! :D:D:D:D Have fun with that bad boy. |
Re: My First Cig
Very nice, hope to see ya out on the water. Good luck.
|
Re: My First Cig
Thank everyone, it is the old hollywood boat, 1998 Key West world champion.
Expresscat, nice talking with you at the dock, you cig is awsome, cant wait to see the cat some day. GLH, shopping sucks, but its over for a while. The prop covers i want are for when we are anchored so no one cuts themselve (i hope they work) and i was thinking about butting the fender holders in the unfinished stern as the boat has very limited storage. what do you think. Re: My First Cig
Beautiful boat Randy.....I guess it was worth the wait then huh??? :D

Keeping fenders up front seems...at least to me, far from the action... I can't see myself lugging fenders from the nose thru the cabin and to the cockpit and so forth. I do a lot of boating by myself and dock by myself a lot... I like the convenience of the fenders being right behind me under the seat...Lift seat swing 3 fenders out with the 2 lines leav them on the back seat and hook everything. It is also faster launching by yourself, not as much running thru the cabin. Going under to fetch fenders will approaching a dock with traffic and all Tom,Dick&Harry's around in there boats last thing I want is be far from the helm. Just the way I do it. Last, is those rigs are very weight sensitive and any weight in the nose slows them down, so when your going for speed keep the nose light. Of course on a normal week end we keep everything but the kitchen sink in the nose of ours...spare cooler, gear bags, towel bags, BBQ's... you name it!!!! All that gear you never need in a hurry unlike fenders, line and anchors. Beer is in the cooler by the door! |
