I don't know what the comparison is with the Edge since I bought the truck from a friend and the chip was already installed. I do know it hauls AZZ and tows our Top gun like nothings back there. I heard that the first generation Duramax engines had problems wit hteh injectors. They fixed it on the '04 and up models. The guy I bought it from towed his non-stepped tiger with it however, he did end up getting a King Ranch F-350 due to the fact the tiger fully loaded with the steel Myco trailer was over the max load for the GMC. The king ranches max load is up near 20k! :eek: |

Sorry to disappoint you Cig brothers, but I pull my Cigs with a Dodge.
Ram 2500 (no dually) with Edge chip pulls the Top Gun and steel Myco trailer 70-80 mph on cruise control. I try to keep it 72-75mph, but it's capable of 85+. ......I'd rather be Cummin.......than Strokin' :D :D |

I know a few dudes towing big fivers with both...the ford will not get by the Max...especially on long grades. What I hear is the ford goes gear hunting with the Navistar's narrower powerband/poorly programmed tourqesh*tz... and the Max/Ally just picks a gear, holds a steady R and just yarns on by. :cool: |
