Do I own the most posted boat on this thread? :-)
Well, I think I have the distinction of being the only 3rd owner to post the same boat on this thread!
The thread has been a great read and imagine my surprise when my boat pops up not once, but twice before I get to post it myself :-)
The boat is currently undergoing some performance and cosmetic revisions, so I may post again after these, but until then, here is my contribution!
Sorry it is a bit blurry, but the pic was taken from a Fountain running right next to me….on a phone.

I refurbished her over the winter. Converted from twin SBC 350/260 hp to single BBC 454/350 hp. Still trying to get her dialed in. More fun to do on the water. Got to love the hard lines on the old school hulls...

Here's my 1984 Checkmate 2800SX Outboard. This is the "Ashland Special" edition. It was layed up like the Ashland Express raceboat with AME 4000 resin, reinforced transom, 24" setback Gil Brackets at 18" centers, 96 gallon fuel tank, etc. I just got the boat back on the water after rerigging her with twin Merc 2.4 200's, Offshore clamps, 1 piece high performance exhaust plates, and Bob's nose coned lower units. A new cockpit and cabin will come next!
