Nice to know where that boat went. That was a great buy IMO.
Story I got was all gone through a couple years ago and Only like 20 hours on totally rebuilt Detroit's, and new larger ASD's. She' s a Beast. We were running right around 40mph. 35K lbs or something close. Just a fukin BEast. Love it. Oh and can we all say Roooost. |
Bet it was a scary tow w/that Jeep!

Beautiful old classic. Jeep just used to move it around house and yard, maneuverable...., F-250 did the road tow, 9000lb too much for Jeep. Ironically, I wish i had kept this old dog, was a reliable 60MPH cruise in RI waters |

I understand that all too well... there is a picture in existence of me moving or attempting to move it with my John Deere 332 diesel garden tractor.
The things you do when no truck is available........ it didn't move far but I got the 2 feet I needed |
I figured as much but as someone who has towed w/junk before, I had to point it out 😂
When I had my first 24 sonic I lost a job and a wife within a month of each other, and you can imagine the crimp it put in my boating lifestyle! I bought a $500 full-size 1986 Chevy van off eBay. With that years gutless 305 V-8. Found a 300 horse, 350 jasper motor on craigslist for another 500 bucks. Headers and exhaust from Jeggs , a 3.73 posy from a junkyard, motor in and out through the drivers door which they told me would not work (😂). Probably not in a van you cared about. Got plates for it that said “Tow Pigg”! Only had problems pulling the boat out with it one time. Very steep, slippery ramp that was wet! Had people offering to help me tow it but I was having too much fun trying! Would lose traction as soon as the trailer wheels cleared the water. Looked over and noticed the opposite side of the ramp was dry. Took the boat off the trailer, moved it to that side, pulled the trailer out, backed down that side, loaded the boat and pulled it right out!

I towed a 39 Dodge panel truck home once with a Mid 80's little Toyota 2wd truck,,,,,,,, Talk about squatting, of course no brakes on the trailer:)
