If it was gel coat I could wet sand it and buff it but it is not.

Well, it was a nice idea while it lasted....

1979 Carrera pic's of inside, need to find motor pic. I have a built big block in her.

bearpaw 01-07-2008 07:15 PM

I was told by a very reliable source Carrera has a CIG hull and a Corsa deck. And some of the best glass work you will see in an old school boat.

carrera 01-07-2008 07:32 PM

I have to agree on the glass work. I was told mostly all hand laid. Any pics. of your's? I don't think there are to many oldschool carrera's around anymore.

it is 1983 scarab III,
Paint was done long time ago, was modeled after Miami Vice
graffics. Found this out from some one who new the 1980's owner who painted it. Getting ready for some modern paint soon. Not a speed demon by any means, tops around 60 MPH with stock 370 trs.
We spend time between Sandusky Oh. and northern Ga. Keep our main ride at Cedar Point for the summer and trailer the others back and forth. Although there is not enough water down south to do any boating.
Waiting for the first "Frosty" of the spring already.
