This picture is of Omar Danial driver and Richie Powers on throttles. 43` Scarab. Tom Gentry and I set the world Kilo record in this boat at 126 mph. after, Wellcraft contracted me to run the boat in the APBA worlds in Ft. Meyers. The boat had to attend three APBA national races to qualify. Omar and I ran Miami, which was cancelled but counted as one race.
Corpus Christi, we won, Sarasota, we won, and Ft. Meyers worlds we won all in 1993, same season and 1993 won the worlds in Key West with Omar in the Apache Heritage. Donney Waduck was the crew Chief, and one of the best I have ever had, the wins were a tribute to him.

Larry Smith boat, The Scarab thunder is the same boat as the Gentry boat and Diet rite cola boat that Sirois ran in KeyWest in 1992 as a brand new boat. Allan Parieser was part owner, same guy who owned Splish Splash 30` Scarab.
