I am sorry to have to report that Joey Ippolitto passed away
last night from cancer, he had been battling for approx. 1 and 1/2 years. I was Joey`s throttleman and ran his racing team with Anheauser Natural Light and later Michelobe Light. Joey always had a great smile and a heart of gold. He was passionate about offshore racing and was a true legend to be remembered. we will miss him God Bless. 7XCHAMP

Hello Richie,
Am very sad to hear about the passing of Joey.
I met you, Joey and Bobbie at Charles Custom Engine Shop over in Point NJ before a Benihana GP near the Point Pleasanton Bridge when you were racing together, You were talking about custom bike frames and bikes that you and Bobbie had bought in Italy with Charles.. A long time ago. You did some outstanding work on rigging those boats.
We've lost a lot of great people from our sport over the years. Its sad.
Our prayers are with him and his family .
Happy Holidays to you and your family
Thank you
Jim

I'm very sorry to hear about Joe, He was a fun guy to be around and very generous. My prayers are with his family, especially with his brothers Paul and Sam. He will be missed.
