Stormrider you could take your plexi out and replace with alum plate as I did when I would race my Mirage,, pleasure boat.I just had it in the front, it work and didn't look bad.

H2O, this is just a boat that was for sale locally a year ago.
I thought it was a good buy, just bad timing.
may still be around.
its a 29mirage pleasure from 1984.

They are a great boat, more room for a family, my old 27' Magnum was not as kid friendly. The Mirage had twin 280's trs mostly stock ran 70, wish I still had it, sold it to buy Pete Smith's pleasure Wolverine Active cat.

Ken's original "Whopper" was an old red and white wooden Lyman, with BIG motors in it, everybody was waiting for them to rip the bottom out of it, it was before the brown Cary32' open with the same name, there was also the "Shear Blade" his big boat and the infamous houseboat with the Tikki Bar

h2O, the Lil' Rhino Mirage ended up in Florida, raced by Davey Gillmore, who used to throttle Bonanza. The last time I saw the boat was in Saugatuck or Grand Haven. Bob Rink was navigator and a couple of Davey's friends drove and trimmed. Even at its advanced age and general disrepair, it won its class in very rough water. I remember Mike Clarey (sic?) in a photo, holding on to the bow as his half-sunken boat bobbed in the water by the start/finish line. The Rhino was pretty bad by then, raced as the Rum Runner Bay. I don't know what happened after that. Davey dies of a sudden heart attack last year.

If anyone knows where to find the old Rhino I would be interested in restoring it, as I'm sure many others would also.
