Mark, didn't Dennis Hunt from Blue Lagoon race in CC RYDER back in the late 70's?

They only made the CC 8-METRE a short time, I heard there was only 28 ever built. Of the 28 we had 3 on Lake St Clair MAVERICK, CC-RYDER, and ORANGE JULIUS, the only racer I know for sure was Mark Dupruis in the M-800 ORANGE JULIUS. I heard some say Bill Leslie was in the CC-RYDER ?? I saw one on the lake a few weeks ago with a 8-Ball logo on the side, I think it was the ORANGE JULUS.

We have an 8 meter project right now. What a great looking boat. Do you know what the original hull was.

Bill Leslie worked for Dennis Hunt at Blue Lagoon that is when I first met Bill I dont think Bill was in the boat I think that was before him, Dennis also raced a boat out of Blue Lagoon called INOVATION a 25' nova in the mid 70's also.

CC Ryder or P-300 as it was known, was raced by Jim Krause and Bill Leslie.

Billy's been out for quite a few years now.

Yes it is. 2 years ago I had my 28 Arrow in same place as a Chris Craft 8M. One of my friends did a total restore of the boat.
I was very curious so I did some measure and I'am 100% sure it's from Magnum/Cigg bottom. It's intresting that the boat is named "8 Metre"? Is it a Euro-model? This one was sold new at Riva Italy. Did Riva really build the 8 METRE? I know the did some of the Lancer's. The boat had twin Volvo 350ci and 270 Volvo Penta drives. Now a single 496/425hp. with Bravo1 X. I'll try to have some more and better pictures.
