There was one air intake in the centre of the deck just forward of the windscreen like you can see on the Elswick's Thunder at Cowes in 1978.
Another 36' with air intakes (two on the sides of the deck just forward the windscreen)) were the two Gentry's American Eagle in 1973/74.

Found these pic's of Preston Henn's 27' single engine Magnum [STREAKER Thunderbird, SWAP SHOP] with it's unique center steer set up. They are from a Florida race around 1973.

Default B T need help on this one.

B T, need help identifying this hull, I was told it was made in Italy in the 70's. Some how it turned up here in this Michigan boat yard. With it's twin shaft drives and large steps, you, or someone should know this boat ???????

It is an Offshorer, built by Monte Carlo Marine, in San Remo, Italy. It was designed by Bob Hobbs, and originally built by Cal Connell. It has the engines installed front and back, with a wing gearbox between them to mount the transmissions.
