Default Old Gentry Boat?

There was on old "Team Gentry" boat forsale here in Ga maybe 4 or 5 years ago (I'm thinking about the time some of the INXS boats were forsale. Does anyone know what happened to it?

While we're at it does anyone know what ever happened to the old Popeyes boat that was powered by old the chainsaws, I mean egg beaters motors connected by chains

The Popeyes boat sat over by Pantera for a long time. Not sure if it is still there.

I think the Gentry boat you refer to was the 46` I rigged for the Miami to NY race, Good boat, at one time it held 1,320 gallons of fuel, as we were doing a two stop run. With triple Gentry`s the boat ran 110 to 115, mph, unfortunatly it was before the # six drives, so we were always blowing drives, # 3`s and #4`s. John Conner later converted it to the Gentry surface drive for the Miami Nassau race but broke on the way and the Magnum won. I won one race with the boat, the Apache Challenge with Norm Gentry as driver, and Tom as Navigator, rough as hell race, with some good film footage.
The Popeyes wood cougar 35` that ran the six outboards on # 4`s was converted to twin IO`s #4`s with Merc open class motors. Bob Idoni ran it last I think in New Orleans popeye`s race, I ran the four engine Goetz boat. I think 1988 I throttleed for Al and we one his last APBA # 1 championship that year, I took over from Sirois when he quit, Idoni ran the team, as he was committed to run Canada Homes with Lorne Liebel. I also ran the first race with Bob in the Canadien Homes boat in Marathon race, I throttled Bobby drove, we stopped for the Jesse James crew when they dumped it, and still got second place behind Kaiser by a few seconds, we received award for sportsmanship etc. Good hard fought race, great story behind the whole deal. 7XCHAMP
