One of the things that HORBA has planned is the get together of the old race boats so people could see them again.
We planned on doing this on Saturday April 28 this year.
The plan was to gather at a waterfront restaurant in South East Florida in the morning...... and then take the old race boats for a 40 mile run offshore and back.
Very simple, no entry fees, no costs....you buy your own lunch etc.
Now the question is....Who is actually coming to this event and bringing their old race boat?

We have to make a decision soon based on the number of race boats coming.
If there are just a few, we can select almost any restaurant.....but if there are a lot and some of them will not be running, but on trailers only.....we have to select a restaurant that has a big parking lot and good dock facilities also.

Okay.....no interest.
Maybe we can see the boats at Billy Frenz's New York City poker run in June.
I have been invited to be a guest at the Point Pleasant race in September.
I hope to have my Benihana boat with me at that event and Rocky and Billy Martim have also been invited, so maybe that will be a better venue for this get together. Any other old race boats are invited to show up also.
Hey....at least we are trying to do something for the people who have an interest in these old boats. We will eventually get it right....it is all new territory for us too.
