Default question for you guys

Ive posted on here a while back, maybe 6 months ago, anyways, i baught this boat, its a 28 ft. deep-v hull its got a v-drive, the steering wheel is on the left side, the title says its made by "arno" and it was made in 1979, the person i baught it from baught from a guy in florida ive heard many different things about the boat, a few people have told me that it was made in italy and some have told me that don aronow used it to make a mold for his magnum boat, ill try to get some pictures of it so you guys can take a look at it. please get back to me on any information you have

The real name can be "Cantieri Dell'Arno" on the river Arno near Pisa.
I will check on my library.

I person I know has the same boat or very, very, close to it. He was told that the boat was built by don( or the mold used by)arnonow. His has the V drive and the nose of the boat is definately cigarette design (looked like the top gun that was sitting next to it.) This is a very old boat that predated all the other cigs and such. He is restoring slowly and it has original metalflake gel. His boat was around chicago area for a long time and ran pretty good. He is a private person and I will tell him about this post and see if he will respond. These boats have history and someone should know what the story is behind the Vdrive cigs. Restore that boat and do it good. thanks jay.

The slopey transom throws me off. If you can post a pic from the stern, I will take a guess.

Also check the overall length. It could be a 26' Cary, which is what's left when you cut a 28' Cigarette off at the second, lower gunwhale.
