On the pic posted by h2oboater it seems that Mr.Goodwrench have a rounded windshield and a different engine hatches without air scoopes like the Dog Gone..
In the first pic it's not a Bertram.

I think he knows that Marco!

I agree about the windshield etc - totally different. Come on folks, somebody out there must know more about the Goodwrench Bertram!

This boat is the old LongShot (Ex Visions of Guernsey, Ex Dog Gone), I sold it to a guy in Portugal about 6 years ago

Talked to my Dad last night. He believes the driver at the WI accident was a guy named Munson that owned a trucking company in Galesburg, IL. Broke most if not all of his ribs when they stuffed the boat backwards at about 90 MPH or so. Dad says Don gave Agles the other Bertram he had and that the Goodwrench boat has either been sold or that there is someone interested in it. When Dad was working for Donnie after he retired from Cat, he was rigging and repairing a Cougar for him to use as a Poker Run boat. Was going to have triple Eikert power and Arnesons. The Goodwrench boat was slated to receive Merc 900's and Arnesons.

Dad thought the boat was white when Don bought it and that Agles painted it black.

I see so many of these boats in sheds or waiting for restorations on trailers, that I just want to remind everyone what fabulous race boats they were in thier day.

In the middle of a hard race and the waves were building, you could always count on somebody drivng their Bertram right up there with you.

The sight and sounds of being right next to one of these boats in full race conditions are such sweet memories.

I asked him if he wanted to sell, he said no - december 2005.

The tarp is gone looking at the pics now. I worry there is water in it.
