Sorry Nigel but I found this picture in a old thread on OSO but....I don't remember who and where.
However the guy didn't say anything about that Bertram.
The best of the image is this.

Nigel,I take the first pic from your library on Boatmad.com.
I think that the Mr. Goodwrench and Hamilton's Dog Gone was the same former Elswick Bertram 38'(the last Bertram Competition) and then Vision Of Guernsey of Gervaise-Brazier.
Charlie, the others two pics came from your HORBA website on the link "Restoration"and maybe that 38' have something to do with Mr.Goodwrench-Dog Gone.
However a thing don't coincide: As Mr.Goodwrench the boat was competing from 1992 to 1999,but as Dog Gone was drove by Hamilton from 1994 to 1998......

Marco,
Here we can see the unique shape of the air scoops situated immediately behind the cockpit that show Visions of Guernsey and Dog Gone (seen here in other colours but under the same ownership) to be the same. Perhaps someone can clear up the confusion over the Mr. Goodwrench bertram and the dates?? Are you sure that the Mr Goodwrench that was competing between the years you mention was the Bertram 38?

Another image of Dog Gone.
Note the original engines hatch and windshield.
Are the same of the red Bertram under restoration and I think to recognize them on Mr.Goodwrench too.

Oh oh Nigel, meantime I prepared to post you post too!
By the way I think you're right about the years of Mr.Goodwrench.
In the Graham's Library Race Lists the Cougar 38' Mr.Goodwrench compete in 1994(Driver P.McComb) and 1995.
