Ok; anyone recognize this one?
Guess this one would qualify as a real classic among the other hot boats in offshore history...
Only wish I had the original boat too...but roumers says that it was destroyd by the goverment in Gibraltar due to being used for smulgling drugs to Europe.
The model will be set up as a RC-model with one or two 7,2 hp gas engines, copy of Mercruiser drives, and painted like the real thing.
So; do you know what boat this is? There`s a grand prize of 10 cents to win for the first with the correct answer.

Not only did the boat have an unusual and distinctive shape but the noise coming from the turbine was strange too.
If you need photographs to complete your model,
there are some good picture in Graham Stevens Library on Boatmad.
Here is a photo of the original in 1974, that I have already shown in a different thread.

Just wonderd if you guys "over there" knew the europeans also had fun "back in the days!"
This model was made by a norwegian back in the ealy 80`s, as a RC model. And belive it or not; he was inspired by the same Matchbox-model. He molded about 90-100 of these hulls, but then he got tired of the whole fiberglass-job, and destroied the molds...
I`ve been seaching around for some months here in Norway, before I finally found one of these, and the hull is nearly mint.
Luckily I have a friend that`s in the fiberglass buisness, and we have plans to make moldings of this hull to build a stronger hull to handle the engine I`m gonna put in.
So maybe I`ll be back soon and can offer you guys a copy for a dime or so....
I`ll keep you updated.
BTW: Do you know of any other models/hulls of famous offshore racers, suitable for RC???
I already have the "Jesse James" and french "Colibri". My wife has the Donzi 38 ZR. Always looking for more cool offshore models!
