Just wondered if anybody knows of any good Boat/Marine shops in New York? Will be there for a couple of days later this month. (Midtown Manhattan).

Blue mist, not that this belongs in the classic forum, but what are you looking to do?
IMO, best place to see boats is at Chelsea Piers.

Hi Stormrider, Yes, I agree not a very classic post. I wasnt sure where else to post though, However i do own a classic race boat. She was designed by Sonny Levi and built by Souters in the Isle Of Wight England in 1966 for Don Shead.
My home town is Brighton approx 50 miles from London. We are holidaying in NY later this month for a few days and was hoping to buy some bargain boaty bits!!! but didnt know where, or if there were any boat shops in Midtown NY. Could you tell me is Chelsea Piers a Marina that we could look round? is it in Manhattan?

by the way... post pics of your boat!!!
not many other boating spots in NYC.
you may want to check out the South Street Seaport.
That's real classic boating down that way... like from the 18-19th centuries.

If you run into a jam or need something specific, just let us know. We are about 45 minutes north of NYC and can help you out. We dont carry too much vintage stuff but we can help with maintenance parts if needed.
