Wow I remember most of those!! What a terrible waste of all that historic machinery!!
|
Heart breaking to be sure!

All these boats are found near Massa in the north of the Tuscany.
Only 20 km from Massa there is another "cemetery"; at Viareggio. Soon I will post the photos. |

As promised,the "cemetery" of Viareggio.
But it would not deal with a true cemetery. In the intents of the actual owner of these old glories, the Team Binautica, there is the intention to prepare these boats for a future vintage championship. There are CUV-Shead mono,CUV-Peters cat,Cougar cat, Planatec-Shead mono and Cigarette. |

Breaks my heart to see the mighty Thuraya sitting like that... Is Panatta still running the boat at all?

Marco is that the Planatec hull on the left and the old Paul Picot cougar on the right?
|
Just those,Nigel.
The others are,a CUV mono former Della Valle,a CUV-Peters cat former Johnny Lambs or Fratelli Rossetti I think, the yellow Lamborghini onother Cougar former Bagutta modified and the famous Thuraya former SDA. About the Cigarette I think it's a 38' but without history pratically. It's absent a Jaguar cat , Paul Picot of Gioffredi that I thinks will go to take photos in the next days. |
