Your Correct On The Baja Cat

As they said on "Tool Time", "I don't think so, Tim"! In 1981/82, we spent thousands of dollars tring to get Toleman's aluminum cat over a hundred. We even put a 12' wide wing over the cockpit, and went 100 point something. At that time, I think Copeland and Bill Sirois held the UIM record at 103 in one of my Flight Marine cats.

Sorry about the 120, brain fart. No hard feelings!!!!!!!!! We did win Detroit by a few seconds against a lot of fast cats, Lanier with satisfaction, Betty Cook, Stilletto and others I can`t remember. I got tricky and pulled the engine covers of the boat for more air to the motors and less weight. Everyone protested, but I had clearance from the inspectors before hand. I guess you can tell Joel finally conceded to run the piece of crap slow boat, he said what the hell, we`ll get are ass`s kicked but what the hey, let`s run it till it blows. and that`s the truth. |

Thanks Richie for the low down on the cats.It really is a minefield keeping tabs on owners who have several boats with the same names racing in the same year. There is so little reference info around. This where the website is useful for updating those missing links, and anyway I like to keep Marco busy.Get away from those Ciggys and Bertrams Marco and sort all the Skaters out. You`ll need tablets for that.
Speaking of the Skater instead you hardly will find me occupied on them. I have so many photos but I don't succeed in finding an identity(a soul) among each of them. However I don't exclude to do it in the future. |
In the history there have been many cats of 35' built by different brands, but they don't have very sublime in performances, except a little some Jaguars.
But also the two Jaguar 35' of Mandy Fernandez to Montecarlo 1990, one of which it was the former D'Elia's Special Edition, they didn't succeed in holding the footstep of the Cougars, CUVs and FB Design of 38' or 42.' I believe that it's a pure matter of dimensions compared to the power and the weight. But in this I think that Richie or somebody else can to say more things exact of me. |

Richie, I Don't Believe Stilleto Was The Old Satisfaction, Clauser Had That Thing Running, Stilleto Was Not Competitive. I May Be Wrong, My Memory Is Not As Sharp As Yours
