possibly a radar post mount that slid in under the rear seat ?

ok, a wild guess,a poor man's attempt to heat the cockpit while idling on a cold day?(plus reap the benefits of carbon dioxide)

I,m not sure if the rear seat box has been altered from original but it appears this aluminum thing only extends under the seat frame but it is not open to the cockpit floor/area. it buts up against the wood at the face of the rear seat box. whatever it is for was on the bilge side of it.

dang chris, I thought my 20 was dirty when I took it to him :D

how bout a mount for one of those sound projection devices to fend off pirates?!

What we figured out is he spent an inordinate amount of time looking at that piece of aluminum and not nearly enough time sanding. Now he's headed to Vegas.
