The capability of the Mirage hull was the same as a Cig, but the feel was different. I went from a Magnum [no cockpit liner to deck & low freeboard] to a Mirage that had a cockpit liner & higher freeboard. As Wally Harper [LI'L SMIDGEN] did the same thing and told me the same story when he bought a Mirage from Pete Smith [WOLVERINE] to replace his Mag. Wally just never got use to it, it took me at lest one season to get the feel for it. Now I can say the Mirage has the best of both worlds great hull with a big cockpit & sunpad.

Toasty... You could try Gary Hartman B&G Marine. 732-920-6477. His is in Point Pleasant @ Arnold's Yacht Basin. He has built all the engines for Rolling Thunder and engines for a lot of racers throughout the years, including Buckshot. Great Adventure has had a number of B&G's in her. His track record speaks for it self.

Great Luck, thank you... I am in dire need to get this boat back together. the next main question is weather stainless marine headers and tail pipes will hold up under my throttle wrist??? maybe CMI ?? have any suggestions?

Stormrider 05-26-2008 06:48 PM

SM over CMI for durability.
