Wow. Thanks for the help. I was hoping to find pics of the 45' that did the long distance runs.I believe it was 45' and had deisels. My father helped John Stenbeck as part of the crew on that boat. Looking forward to the party in June.

In the late 1970's Magoon attempted to set the Atlantic Ocean speed crossing. The boat was a 36' Cigarette with four 200 Horsepower outboards. The attempt was unsuccessful. The 200's were some of the first produced by Mercury outboards.

I was 9 or 10 so the knowledge of boats wasnt that developed. What I can remember is that it had twin deisels, Large enclosed canopy and arnesons. I'm not sure of the 45' but I was definitely large than 40'
