I couldn't be happier with the job this guy is doing. Should be done in week or so.

------Just went back and looked at the original pic and answered my own question...DUH!!!

The plan was to make the model look like the race boat......The original plan was to make the big boat with the same type of exhaust. However finding someone to build the headers and pipes to port it out the sides was brain damage money. Hence the big boat has transom exhaust.

"Brain Damage Money"....now there's a name for a raceboat! Model looks great Joe. A while back here on OSO, I asked Richie Powers a general question re the side dumping exhaust...seem to recollect one major downside was that it was godawful loud in the cockpit....would've loved to hear it at full song with that set-up.
