The signatures were great boats and pretty quick too. One of the most famous race boats was Peter Meyer's "Lady L" I want to say that they were 28's & 32's though as well as a 38'. I believe the early Hustlers were VERY similar as well......
Heres a newspaper clip of Peters old "Lady L" 28ft Signature. Lady L (B-22) -- Anthony Luccaro, Port Washington, N.Y., driver; Peter Meyer, Port Washington, N.Y., owner and throttleman. Boat is a 28-foot Signature with two 400-horsepower Chevy engines. Top speed is 85 mph. |
