How's your boat run out? What power is in it?
Last gentleman that had it didn't seem to really want to sell it but if memory serve's me his wife had some back problems .
Hi Jon,
When I got this boat it had a blown #3 drive. Could not find spare parts so I bought a pair of #3's for same money that Mel Riggs would get to fix one drive.
Half way through the summer one engine let go and destroyed the block.
Both engines were rebuilt at that time and now 3 worry free summers behind they still run and sound good.
We did not build them big, I wanted to run every day without being in bilge replacing broken parts.
So far so good. I am happy running at 80 with heavy boat and a smooth ride.
Where are you located in Michigan ?. Did your boat come from Ohio ?.

I owned "Pocket Money" some years back, and can tell you she was awesome! I had her out in 6+ seas with half tank and 7 people with no problems! Only other boat out that afternoon was "War Bird" the quad engine 50 Nortech. She ran in the high 90s wot, and cruised at around 75. It has a lightweight cabin setup also. Nice boat, but for $140k? .........................You can get a 100+ rig with less headaches for that kind of money.

Awesome boat,................bottom line Cougar's are very hard to sell. I think mostly cause they are not domestic even though all the hardware is domestic..............LOL
Anyways I was worned when I bought mine also to be aware cause if I ever choose to sell it..........only buyers are the Cougar enthusiast's that now and love the heritage.
They are Rock solid and built very well.
When times were good $85,000 would be tops, just for the sake of tuff resale. Now with the economy the way it is I still would not give more than That.
No Doubt,..........The boat has some serious hard ware.
