Have now found pic of Detroit rolling start 82 showing Quam in ex-Kaama cat,so Benihana GP 82 was Quam`s first race in the Active (with Aoki),unless further info proves otherwise.

This September 1982 Powerboat story I think confirms that this was this Active cats first race ?

Well,clarified the fact that the first Active of Quam began its life with the livery of Benihana (and also clarified the backstage of the favor repaid between Aoki and Quam) it would now need to find an image of Quam to the Key West World Cup 1982.
