A friend of mine in Mentor Ohio had a 29 Mirage supposedly the old Dr. Pepper race boat in the late 80's early 90's. It was balck hull and you could still see where the stickers were. Ran great in the rough of Lake Erie always impressed with the deep freeboard. Story was there was two and one burned. The guy who had it was Dan Phillips. Haven't talked to him in years, anyone know of it or him.

There is a 36' Mirage in Brick Nj still under the care of its original owner who bought it as a blank from Cortes himself.

One of the things I enjoyed was watching Armed and Dangerous at the Point Pleasant race(s). That was one helluva set-up at that time. Great boat!
