Great pictures.I remember many of these boats competing in the Hennesey Grand Prix...and then the Benihana Grand Prix in Point Pleasant,NJ.As a kid spending summers at the Jersey Shore,the races were the event of the summer....the crowds were huge.

Great shots from back in the day. I really like this deck shot of my old Magnum, The Damn Yankee when Dan Patrona had her. Love them Chicken Bars !!!

I'd heard that the WD40 boat was gutted and sitting in a field on Long Island... Any confirmation on that? Anyone seen it within the last year or so?

No more pics but I do have an old video that has Sabre Dance in it: 1975 Marina Del Ray race. I am looking for it.

Mike A. Thank you for posting those great pic's and thank you to all the older guys that were there in these good old days and thank God you never threw out these great pictures.

What is the number11 boat in the back ground in your first set of pic's. Is it a cig????? any better pic's of it close up

Another great pic of Pete Smith's Magnum Wolverine, with his OT exhaust pipes that his company made. If you raced a Mag from Lake St Clair in the 70's you had to have a set, and they were LOUD !!!!
