These boats are overpriced in my opinion. The Chris Cat is a great boat but $ 100,000 is to much. Maxon appears to have made these for a short itime after chris Craft sold the molds. Check out the prices on American Offshore 31's (same hull molds) and much newer. But 100 mph boats are NOT cheap.

, NEVER HEARD OF THEM so they must have only made a few and they were made of plywood it looks like the bulkhead was thats no balsa
and that would be why its slow with 605cu motors they should be 750 to 800 hp each in a 30cat = 120 125mph not 110 on a good day. no resale with a no name boat. chris cats in the 85 yr would be 5 fives older but would have resale to them and would be 35,000 to 45,000 right now.

This Boat was set up for my father to drive. It was built to be low maintence. He did not want to change the look of the boat due to the previous history of it. That is why you don't see ram air scoops on the engine hatch. The day this video was made it was in the middle of july about 102 outside. Full Fuel, and four people. Did I mention 5100 rpm. And yes in the fall with low fuel, 1' chop, it ran 121 gps at 5500. still without ram air for the engines to breathe. Tom.

I have spoke with Tom about these two boats and am very interested in the black boat. He is very knowledgeable about the history and rigging/performance of them. I am trying to determine a value of the black boat so I can try to make a deal with him. Thanks in advance for your help.
