Lee I thought there were 1.5 million bee's. :grinser010: I never saw this one running on Lake St Clair. The engines looked interesting, but the way he took a grinder to the sides of the hull.:eek::eek::eek: Good luck on your project.

hey guys here is some pics of the boat. The bee's like to come for the ride but they cant keep up now... so no more bee problem...lol. the side have been fixed and I'm working on some decals for it. It's a working project but a lot of fun in ruff water. It took me about a month to get it up and running and in the water.

c_deezy 10-01-2009 10:49 PM

Wow, up and running already. Cool!

PromoProducts-BP 10-01-2009 11:07 PM

Great !!!!! Where do you do your boating ?

jaysflatdeck 10-02-2009 09:45 AM

I do all my boating in lake erie an the detroit river but im sure that i will make it to mor places

phughes69 10-02-2009 10:45 AM

That was pretty quick getting it up and running. It must have been in way better shape than the seller let on. I remember seeing the ad for months. What was involved it getting the boat up and running?

c_deezy 10-02-2009 11:12 AM

Yeah no kidding, I think the rough hull scared people away. What speeds are you getting out of it?

jaysflatdeck 10-02-2009 01:12 PM

well for starters he told me it need some work and sent me some pics any way I got the boat for $10.000 to get it home the trailer needed 6 new rims&tires and for the boat 1 drive had a bad upper so I pick two good drives & I replace the tranys one was bad then the motors they were in beter shape then I thought other than some gaskets and some valve springs away I was to the GAS STATION !!! for speed I'm over prop but the best is 69.5 mph but the FUTURE HOLDS MORE POWER ITS LIKE THE ROUGH WATER !!!!

THANKS JAY

c_deezy 10-02-2009 01:37 PM

10K!!! Holy smokes, if I would have known he was going to go that low on it I would have been more motivated. That's a nice boat for 10K, even with another couple thousand its sounds like you already put in it. A few more and you should have a nice ride.

Sorry, to the right of the stinger. The boat with side by side bolsters and the funky wing-like design.

I was on the second flatdeck from the wall in that first pic. It was awesome seeing a bunch of old 38 flatdecks all running together again. There was supposed to be a dvd from that day, anybody have a copy?

Nice work getting that boat up and running. I've never been on a boat that destroyed waves like an old 38 flatdeck!

[The last one is Timeless]
That was at the Roostertail in Detroit, the year around 1981.
