Hey, Sonny. Didn't you guys take all the exotic stuff out of Momma, and put in Merc? I seem to remember castings to adapt speedmasters.

i was around for the sea trial of this project with the unser engines ,with that turbo set up, carb in a box under pressure . the trans were custom as you have said , hydraulic with torque converters.in the end low engine torque could not pull much prop.i think the castings you refer to were to plug these tras into the no. 3 gimbels. dave and mack had made a lot of custom parts for this project.i am not sure what happened later with the repower of this project,i think you are right that big mercs were installed. i had gone to join don at magnum and the missile plant on 159 st. near the big gas ball with knocky ,bill sidel and bob vrooman. thanks sonny miller
