There is a single input shaft that comes out through both sides of the top single gear of the V drive that hooks to the drive shafts of both motors, front and back. That’s why you need counter rotating motors so when put tail to tail the out pot will spin in the same direction. Being there are only 2 gears in the V drive the top gear spins the bottom gear (prop shaft gear) in the opposite direction. So if the input is CW the output will be spinning CCW or vice versa. Anyway around it the prop will always spin the opposite direction of the motors, canceling out torque. I always thought it was designed that way. Not sure now.

Little late on my part reading this thread but if you are not going to run trannies, why not drive one off the flywheel side and one of the timeng chain side.We ran of the front of motors in the drag boats and jersey skiffs.Just a Idea. JOHN SR

From ear to ear!

The motors are built and almost ready to drop in. Just some little things I should wrap up in the next week. Just waiting on the V drive to get it all together.
